On May 7th Derek turned 31 years old. We are now the same age for 2 weeks! Alayna and I woke Derek up in the morning by jumping on the bed and wishing him a Happy Birthday. Well she jumped on the bed and I said Happy Birthday, she can’t talk that much yet. J I was so excited to surprise Derek with his gift that I couldn’t wait. I grabbed it from it’s hiding place and we gave it to him. Alayna helped him with his birthday cards and he unwrapped his gift. He was very excited to see that he got an Ipad2. He has been saying he wanted one and I talked to his parents and mine and we all went in together to get him one for his birthday. He was surprised and happy. We spent most of the day just relaxing at home with Derek’s phone buzzing most of the day with text messages and facebook messages wishing him a Happy day (he’s a popular guy!). Alayna and I then took Derek out to dinner for his birthday. We went to Hoffbrau Steakhouse b/c Derek wanted a steak. Dinner was great and the food was yummy and lots of it. After dinner we drove out to Softball World because Derek wanted to watch a tournament of the best softball players in the country.
