Auntie T visits/Meeting Bucky

A few weekends ago my sister Trenni came to see our new apartment and spend some time with Alayna and me. The last women’s bball game of the season was also that day and they were hosting a kids fair at the Kohl Center before the game so Trenni and I thought it would be fun to take Alayna.

Alayna really enjoyed both hanging with Auntie T and doing some fun things before the bball game. She got her face painted and also put a Bucky tattoo on her cheek. She and Auntie T colored a picture of Bucky and Alayna got to meet Bucky for the first time.

She knows who Bucky is from her books about the university and from mommy teaching her who Bucky is, but I wasn’t sure how she would do with meeting him since she is terrified of mascot type things. But, she did very well. She still didn’t want to get too close to Bucky but she waved and blew him a kiss and took a picture with him, as long as I was the one standing directly next to Bucky.

She really enjoyed the basketball game too. She loved dancing to the band and wanted to always look for Bucky and find out where Bucky was. She was so excited each time she spotted him.
We only stayed at the game till halftime since it was in the middle of nap time and well Alayna doesn’t have the attention span to watch 2.5 hours of basketball. But, it was a great time.
We really enjoyed the day and we were so glad that Auntie T was there to enjoy it with us.
