Happy Halloween

I know I am a few weeks late, but I hope that everyone had a happy and safe Halloween. Halloween was fun this year in our house because Alayna was able to Trick or Treat and kind of understood what was going on.

We carved a pumpkin this year and had Alayna help. She did not like the guts from the inside and would whine and back away when Derek tried to get her to touch them. However, she loved the pumpkin and the carved Jack-o-lantern afterward.

We found Alayna an adorable Care Bear costume this year at a consignment sale. I have wanted to do a family costume the past few years so I was able to talk Derek into dressing up as Care Bears also. I mad our costumes so they aren’t quite as cute but we are cute little Care Bear family

We also took Alayna Trick or Treating around the neighborhood Halloween night. She would go up to the doors, but was too shy to say Trick or Treat. However, she did say Thank You to every house that gave her candy.

She also liked seeing the kids come to the door at our house and giving them candy. It was so fun to watch her take it all in, I am looking forward to seeing her next year when she gets it even more.
