From July 7-19 I had to be in Las Vegas, NV for our Youth tournaments. I know you are probably thinking, must be rough a work trip to Las Vegas. But, besides the first two days when I had time to eat dinner outside the hotel/bowling center I didn’t get out much. I walked every day from my room through the casino to the bowling center and back again. It was long days, but it wasn’t bad. The events let us interact with the youth bowlers we serve all year long and meet them in person and their parents. It is always fun to watch them interact with other youth, make new friends and hopefully bowl well so they go home satisfied and come back again next year.
While I was gone Derek had Mr. Mom duty for the two weeks. He played with Alayna, dressed her and did her hair every day. Alayna is already a little daddy’s girl so she, I am sure loved spending the time one-on-one with daddy. But, I was very glad and relieved when she came running to me when I picked her up from daycare the day I got home. It was very tough being away from her and I was able to skype a few times, but with the two hour time difference it made things tough.
Alayna wanted to come visit Mommy
Playing with Daddy made her very tired
