I know it has been awhil since I have last written anything, but mostly because there really isn't much to write about these days. Derek and I are settled in nicely now. Our house is complete (for the most part), furniture is in rooms, pictures are on walls and life is moving on.
Work has been getting busy lately and I will be traveling a lot this spring and summer. So, right now I am enjoying my time at home, relaxing and getting back into my workout schedule. I do have one gripe about TX though. The drivers here are crazy. They like to pass on the shoulder of the road, speed up to 70 mph only to slam on their brakes 200 yards later. They drive me insane. But, other than that I am really starting to like living here. I really can't complain about the weather that is for sure. Right now it is something like -20 in WI and here it is about 39. Yeah, I don't miss that at all. It is suppose to be 60 tomorrow and Derek is playing in a softball tournament...yes, in January. Spring softball starts at the beginning of February.
We are starting to venture out of our 10 mile radius lately. Derek's dad and his friend came to visit us and we took them to Fort Worth Stockyards to see the rodeo and go to the World's Largest Honky Tonk, Billy Bob's. If you like country music that is the place to be. It is awesome! We also went to downtown Dallas to the JFK museum. New Years Eve we had dinner in downtown Fort Worth at Sundance Square. That has been my favorite place so far. Next week we are going to dinner with some new friends somewhere in downtown Dallas. I am very excited to be exploring my new home and finding all the cool places to go so I can be ready when people come to visit.
Life is moving on.
