Yes, we FINALLY sold our house. I didn't think it would ever happen but 7 months and a lot of stress later we have finally sold.
I hope that whoever has bought our home will enjoy it as much as Derek and I have been able to and will love it and take care of it. It is a great home, one that I envisioned bringing home our children from the hospital to, but, well that is not meant to be. I will miss you, little home. Be a good to your next family.
And now, on to Texas. Last week Derek and I spent four days in Texas looking for a place to live. We decided, even after all the trouble that we went through, that we still want to own a home right away. We met our realtor, Paul on Wednesday right after we checked in to our hotel and started on our house hunting. 11 houses later I was ready to call it a day. We thought we found "the one" but it didn't pan out...another story for another time.
Thursday came and 18 more houses on the list. We saw great houses and not so great houses, big and small in nice neighborhoods and neighborhoods that left a lot to be desired. Finally Thursday night we had a list of about 5 houses, with a few more to see. We weren't sure quite yet, so onto Friday.
More houses on Friday and the list got bigger, but then it started to shrink and shrink. We were down to two houses and finally picked the one we put an offer on. The offer has been accepted but we still have to go through the entire process of inspection, apraisal, etc. We are very excited about our new home and can't wait to make it our own. Once things are more final, I will post pics.
And when it is snowing and the wind is blowing in your face, know that you have friends in Texas that would love some faces from home.
